Is Congress's chaotic budget battle setting the stage for a government shutdown? Join us for a no-holds-barred discussion on The Ryan Samuels Show as we dissect the current state of American politics. We tackle the controversial budget bill, which is bursting at the seams with unrelated pork spending, and explore the implications of such legislative practices on the call for a government shutdown. With voices like Vivek Ramaswami demanding greater accountability and Elon Musk pushing for transparency in congressional processes, we highlight the growing frustration among Americans with the opaque nature of government operations. Also, listen in as we unravel the confusion surrounding the drones over New Jersey and discuss the tragic case of Natalie Rupnow, emphasizing the necessity of stable family environments.

Our conversation doesn't shy away from criticizing systemic corruption and inefficiencies plaguing Washington, D.C. As we explore Ron DeSantis's harsh critiques of Congress's fiscal management, we shed light on the insufficient disaster aid for North Carolina's struggling agricultural sector. Marjorie Taylor Greene's insights into the shifting budget dynamics, moving towards an omnibus bill, paint a picture of a legislative process in disarray. We also scrutinize Speaker Johnson's controversial legislative maneuvers and the broader implications for transparency and accountability, especially in sensitive investigations like those concerning January 6th. This episode pulls no punches in uncovering the bipartisan issues of corruption that persist, regardless of which party is in power.

Speaker 4:

Hello Patriots, welcome to the show. We have a good show here today. We're going to follow up on Natalie Rupnow. We have some new information on that killer in madison, wisconsin, with the school um, uh, shooting there. Um also, congress is in chaos, threats of a government shutdown and drones turned out to be a massive popcorn fart over new jersey. Apparently, these are our drones. This is something that I had alluded to. I'll take to be a massive popcorn fart over New Jersey. Apparently, these are our drones. This is something that I had alluded to. I'll take partial credit for it. I didn't really say. I said it's probably either an enemy that they know about or they're our drones and they did not seem very concerned at all.

Speaker 4:

The government with the situation, very concerned at all the government with the situation. Turns out it's a local Air Force base testing out some new equipment who already put out a request for the FAA and got approval, which is all public knowledge which anybody could have found. So a lot of poor journalism in the government if it wasn't some top secret operation. They just couldn't come out. They just didn't come out and say like hey, uh, we're, uh, yeah, we're doing that, like the government didn't even know they were acting like. It was like this, this big secret, and it wasn't, because all the information was published, you know, months ago. So that turned out to be nothing, burger, um, and that's okay. That's why we look for things, okay, um, and that's why we seek the truth. Now there are a little bit of conspiracy theories saying, oh, they backdated these reports, these, these requests for flights have been out for months. Like you, you can't just go publish things from months ago and then redo it.

Speaker 4:

So, natalie Rupnow it turns out she was living in what they call a tumultuous situation. Her parents have been divorced and back together and then divorced and divorced and back together, apparently very, uh, not a very good relationship. The nuclear family is extremely important to a child. Um, that's something that I believe firmly. I believe that, um, if you're going to have a child, you need to, it needs to be planned and you need to be with the person that it's going to be with forever, and not just recklessness, um, which we see a lot in our youth today. But congress is going through it right now. They're trying to pass this budget bill which is just full of just pork right now. If you don't know what pork in a bill is. It's just a whole lot of nonsense, things that have nothing to do with the actual bill. The Americans are calling for Congress just to shut the government down. We don't care. That's kind of what's going on. We're going to cover that and we'll be right back. After a word from our sponsor.

Speaker 4:

So the calls for the government shutdown are out there. They are being led by Vivek Ramaswani, who's part of the new Department of Government Efficiency, which isn't an actual department of the federal government. It's just a clever name that Elon. Elon came up with that uh relates to the dogecoin that he loved so much, but they're tasked with finding just wasteful spending in the government and getting rid of it. And this is the.

Speaker 5:

The budget bill came out and they're both looking at it, and here is what vivek ramaswani had to say this is about to pass a bill that blows away your taxpayer money, but they made it over 1500 pages long so you wouldn't read it. I did you a favor. I read it for you. It's supposed to be about keeping government operations open and providing disaster relief aid to hurricane victims, which I'm sympathetic to. But if you read the bill carefully, it contains pay raises for members of Congress and I'm not making this up an expansion of their federal health benefits. It contains all kinds of special interests and pork funding, including opening up a new stadium in Washington DC. It renews the Global Engagement Center, which the government.

Speaker 4:

We see this all the time in local cities where the city will pay for, like Yankee Stadium to be built or the Jacksonville Jaguar Stadium. No, like your taxpayer dollars should not. If your government has enough money to build stadiums with your money, then they need to charge you less money, not figure out how to spend it more.

Speaker 5:

Which is a key node of the censorship industrial complex, and the worst part is they didn't want you to know about any of it and that's why they made this a last minute jam job. The reason I'm co-heading Doge is I think we need outsiders to bring actual accountability to Washington DC, so feel free to call your congressman and let him know how you feel about it.

Speaker 4:

Call your congressperson. This is, this is something I stress, I stress, I stress every day on this show that you should be calling your Congress people all the time. They should know who you are, they should know exactly who you are. They should roll their eyes when you're on the phone. We're just going to kind of go through these videos. Congress is giving themselves a pay raise. Okay, Is that a horrible thing? No, but they're sneaking it in and that's kind of what they do. So they'll say that, oh, this is just a bill for whatever it is. You know, I'll just use like this is a bill for Medicare, but then in the Medicare bill, congress gets a pay raise, or the president gets a pay raise, or they get their health benefits, and it's like what? Like, what does that have to do with a Medicare bill? So they jam all these things in there and hide it to make sure that these things pass, and that's why we have these laws that are so out of control control.

Speaker 6:

Why should we give them more?

Speaker 5:

money. What about the media?

Speaker 1:

think about that for a second, and we're not paid by public money I know you're not, but I mean half of your listeners are not there anymore. You're still getting the same paycheck. What's going on?

Speaker 7:

why should we give them?

Speaker 4:

oh, that's funny. That's senator uh, dick durbin. So congress has not gotten a pay raise since 2009. That's, that's a very long time. Um, he just destroys this guy asking him why should congress get a pay raise?

Speaker 5:

let's listen to that again why should we give them more money? What about the media? Think about that for a second.

Speaker 1:

And we're not paid by public money I know you're not, but I mean half of your listeners are not there anymore. You're still getting the same paycheck. What's going on?

Speaker 4:

oh, that's so funny because it's cnn and it's so funny um, because it's true. Given um, given congress. A raise is always controversial. Now, congress does make good money. They make good money, they have great benefits and they do pretty well for themselves. Okay, so let's just look up the congressional salary.

Speaker 4:

USA USA $174,000 a year. That's pretty fricking good money, considering all you do is a whole lot of nothing, and plus, once you're a congressperson or a Senator or any really politician, you get a huge following on social media which you can create revenue from. You get paid to go on Fox news or CNN or all of these other shows, but you know, it's interesting, to say the least. So here's Ryan Forner. Congress has a 13% approval rating and they're asking for a $70,000 raise? Absolutely not. So they're not asking. Just so we're all clear.

Speaker 4:

Congress is not saying, hey, we, we would like a raise. They're giving it to themselves and, uh, they're snuck it in a bill. Um, and didn't want you to know about it. Here's somebody else dear members of congress, you've done a shitty job and deserve, and don't deserve, a pay raise. If not for x, congress would have gotten away with the ridiculous spending bill. Business as usual is over. Yeah, so we're seeing not only are we seeing a um shift in the things that are no longer able to be hidden, um, like so back in the day, like the news isn't going to post this, nobody's going to. You know, they're not going to talk about this on the news because the news has no idea that it's even there. So now that it's being outed on X and everybody can see it, they're in a lot of trouble, because now we have free speech back and this is a. This is a a very, very good things. Let's hear what this guy has to say.

Speaker 8:

I need somebody anybody to get this video to every single Republican in office right now. If you vote yes on that CR bill, your ass is grass. Oh yeah, we will vote you out the next election. Play with us if you want to Try us. Play with us. Play with us if you want to. I triple double dare you to play with us. Play with us if you want to. I triple double dare you to play with us if you want to. You better vote no. You better vote no you heard him.

Speaker 4:

I mean there's, they're really not. Uh, there won't be. There's not going to be like major backlash if they pass this. You know, 70 grand a year is a ton of money for a raise, I mean. So they're going to be making $240,000 a year. They're getting a raise from $174,000 to $243,000, while Americans are struggling to buy food for our families, which is why they voted in Donald Trump. Donald Trump has come out and said not to pass the bill. He does not want the bill, he wants it dead, which I think is a good thing.

Speaker 4:

Congress last passed a real budget in 1997. Since then, congress has typically relied on continuing resolution or omnibus spending bills to fund the government, rather than completing the full budget process as intended by the 1974 Congressional Budget Act. Shut it down. I think they should shut it down and I think they should get shut down a lot more than they they. You have to pass a budget and he's right, they haven't passed the budget since the 90s like a real budget. Uh, they just, you know, pepper crap and and find loopholes and move things around and, um, meanwhile, the united states is going bankrupt. Know, we elect them to do a job and they're not doing it. They have not been doing it.

Speaker 4:

Here is former Congressman Matt Gaetz. He put this out on X and it said someone suggested the following plan to me Show up January 3rd 2025 to Congress, participate in speaker election I was elected to the 119th Congress after all Take the oath, file a privileged motion to expose every Me Too settlement paid using public funds, even for former members. Resign and start my at OANN program 9 pm Eastern Standard Time, tuesday at 6,. January 6th at 2025. That's awesome. Yeah, so that's Matt Gates just looking for clicks there. But people are not happy. People are not happy about this. The United States, the American people, demanded change. That's what they wanted. They wanted change. They wanted something different than what it is, and this is not a good start, even though the transition has not completely happened yet.

Speaker 3:

Merry Christmas, american taxpayer. We're going to buy you a Corvette Now. You can't pay for it for 100 years, but we're going to buy you a Corvette. It's absolutely ridiculous of what we're doing here. We should get a clean CR. Mike Johnson promised that. The two things that we really need, though, is we need help for American farmer, because the farm bill has been kicked down the road for two years. Maria, we're going to lose 50,000 farms in the next probably six months, 50,000 more, and we lost 150,000 in the last three or four years. And then, of course, the disaster aid for North Carolina. The Biden administration absolutely has dropped a ball on this, but to go out and build stadiums in DC hell, they can't even cut the grass in the medians up here. It's a disaster.

Speaker 6:

Unbelievable.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, here is a. I'm going to try to zoom in on this. Here's a piece of the bill. Can't really zoom in. Let's see what this says here. Yeah, it's just talking about the budget. It's the same stuff that we're talking about, but the government shutdown. It has happened before. It is a dumpster fire and it's the American politics.

Speaker 6:

It's a total dumpster fire. I think it's garbage. This is what Washington DC has done. This is why I ran for Congress to try to stop this, and sadly, this is happening again. I think that it's shameful that people that celebrate Doge coming in I can't and yet we're going to vote for another billion dollars to be added to the deficit, and so it's ironic.

Speaker 5:

What does this mean for Speaker Johnson's future?

Speaker 6:

Personally, I'm disappointed. I think that he can do better. Um, he can communicate better. The fact that we haven't seen the language today and we're supposed to vote on it this week is is unacceptable so here's the thing.

Speaker 4:

I'm going to explain something to you. If you were getting a raise for 74 000 a year on top of what you're making now, would you be mad at your boss for trying to do it? The answer is absolutely not. No, no, and they're going to come out. They're going to act like they're so mad or some of them are Other ones are going to stand up and say no, I think that we deserve a raise. Blah, blah, blah. Cost of living has gone through the roof. Uh, since 2009. I have, you know, buying a. A steak at the store wasn't 30, it was like 10, but you know it's.

Speaker 4:

The bill is massive. That's what they do, they, they. They get these bills and then they convince everybody to sign them. And the other thing you have to be cautious of is that the reason there could be a $74,000 raise in there is because there's other things in there that if they are found out by Congresspeople, they will not vote for it. But then it's like oh well, we're going to pass this. We're going to give you know, I'm just making this up $1 trillion to Ukraine, but you're going to get a $74,000 raise. So that's something that you need to look at too. Are they being bribed for something?

Speaker 4:

So I have not read the bill. I will, and we'll go over it. It's 1,500 pages, but it's like legal form, so it's two inches wide and down. It's like legal form, so it's two inches wide and down. It's incredibly ridiculous, but this is breaking news. Elon Musk agrees that there should be a law that all bills introduced at Congress should be digitally acceptable to the public at least six, seven days before any vote in Congress. Yes, yes, yes. Congress deserves a pay cut. Yeah, that's pretty funny. So here is Marjorie Taylor Greene. Let's see what she has to say.

Speaker 1:

Well it's really turning into it's not a CR, which is a continuation of the budget, it's turning into an omnibus is what it sounds like to me where they're packing in everybody's, packing in what they want here and there and using the pressure and the situation of the government shutdown. Of course, tragically, farmers are being dangled, americans that suffered through natural disasters they're being dangled with disaster relief, and I think that's incredibly unfair. And you know, think about it like this If this is going to turn into a three-month omnibus, basically think about it like this if this is going to turn into a three-month omnibus, basically, um, then why aren't we doing the heavy lifting on, uh, you know, the upcoming debt ceiling, uh, situations that we have to deal with in march, government funding, um, but no, and we don't have any bill text. I have no idea what's in the cr, except just basic things that we were told in there, um, and then reading often you guys's ex accounts, because somehow y'all magically know things, oftentimes more quicker than I do uh, but, but reality is, uh, there is no cr text out yet. We don't know what's in it. And, um, I, here we are.

Speaker 1:

What is today, tuesday? Yeah, okay, so that's it. What is the mood? Mood?

Speaker 4:

Yeah, well, it's out now.

Speaker 1:

It's out now At the time of this filming it was not out, but it is out now.

Speaker 1:

I mean, obviously you have been critical of Speaker Johnson in the past, but you seem to have, you know, given him a little bit of grace here, since somebody else was running against him. What are your sort of thoughts on how he's handling the situation? Well, I haven't been in any of the conversations on building the CR out, so I haven't been involved in that process. So I can't criticize not being in the room. I mean that's fair. But here we are today. On Tuesday we haven't seen any bill text we're supposed to fly out on thursday. We've had a long time to deal with it. So it's the same uh, basically same pattern of behavior.

Speaker 4:

And here we are now yep well it's business as usual, uh, buried deep within the cr. Congress is allowed to block subpoena for house data. This includes emails, which means this could prevent investigations into the January 6th committee. Absolutely not Make this go viral on X. All right, so this is not community. Noted Motions to quash or modify. Upon a motion made promptly by a house office or provider for an office, a court competent jurisdiction shall quash or modify any legal process directed to the provider, a house or office. If compliance with the legal process would require the disclosure of house data of the house office, okay, that's a problem. So what are they trying to hide? Why are they mashing this? They're trying to hide something. It sounds like if they pass this bill, then they can't have the debt, which is just okay.

Speaker 4:

First of all, congress, like every single thing you do is available to the public, that's exactly exactly what you are there for. You work for us, you work for the taxpayers, you work for the American citizens. If I would like to look at your emails, I should be able to look at them at any moment in time, because you work for me. You are an elected official. It's for your work email. I'm not talking about your private phone or your personal email, but if you're using your Congress email and you're doing something nefarious like yes, you should be subjected to that. If they have the January 6th committee if anybody on that committee everything that you are doing and talking about should be made public, all of it, all of it.

Speaker 4:

And it's insane to believe that you should not be held accountable and that all of your data and all your information that you found is just wild, wild. Let's see, wild wild. Let's see. This is somebody. Speaker johnson just said this congress held the biden administration accountable. Are you kidding me? Johnson funded everything biden wanted, while doing nothing to stop millions of illegals from invading the us. Let let's hear what Speaker Mike Johnson had to say.

Speaker 7:

And despite all the challenges we had, we were able to secure key wins in this Congress. You heard Blake and Steve recount some of that, beginning with HR 1, the energy policy that we advanced, and HR 2 on the border. We held this disastrous administration accountable. We impeached Secretary Mayorkas. We held Merrick Garland in contempt of court. We fought to secure the border.

Speaker 7:

We passed, as I noted, HR 2, the strongest border security legislation in history, and legislation to stop taxpayer funds from going to sanctuary cities and to deport illegals who've been arrested for committing crimes like violence against women and DUIs and social security fraud and fleeing law enforcement. We did that. We advanced that legislation. We exposed Democrat support for non-citizen voting and we passed legislation that would ensure that only Americans vote in American elections. I think the attention that was paid to that had a big deterring effect in the election cycle. I think we put people on notice. That's a violation of the law and a serious offense and we have to get that legislation codified in the year ahead. We launched a housewide investigation into anti-Semitism on college campuses to protect our Jewish students and hold administrators who sympathize with pro-terrorist students accountable. We passed legislation to counter our adversaries. Since the Biden administration refused to. We passed a CR to overturn the Biden-Harris administration's radical rewrite of Title IX that allows men to compete in women's sports. We cut funding for military DEI programs and eliminated the DEI office within Congress.

Speaker 4:

So I mean, that's not what he's saying this person is. I don't know what the hell they're talking about. He's just saying they had some wins right, like they did the best they could, that they didn't roll over and just take it and whatever. Here's Ron DeSantis. He is weighing in on it.

Speaker 4:

Congress is attempting to deflect criticism of the grotesque CR by hiding behind disaster relief funding, a small fraction of this massive spending bill. This is an insult to Americans' intelligence. Since 2022, florida has invested over $3.4 billion in Florida's Emergency Preparedness and Response Fund and raised nearly $100 million into Florida's disaster fund, which is used for disasters that affect our state. Over the same time frame, while Florida was weathered several catastrophic hurricanes, we still paid down $3.6 billion in tax-supported debt. Florida proves that fiscal sanity is a choice. With this CR, congress has chosen the opposite path to continue wasting our tax dollars, exacerbating inflation and driving our nation deeper into debt. They shouldn't hide behind disaster relief. They're willingly making these poor choices. Yes, they are. This is what they do, and I will tell you that it's Republicans too. Listen, hold on. The entire system is corrupt. The, the P, democrats or Republicans, I don't give a crap If we had 100% Republican governors, republican state senators, republican um state all state legislators, republican mayors. If every single politician in this country was a Republican, it would still be screwed. It would still be screwed. The problem is not who the party is in power. The problem is that the power that they wield once they get there and those that have that power are not going to give it up, they're not going to turn over deny themselves $75,000 a year raise. Why, for principle, get the hell out of here, dude. That is not going to happen. I mean, if there's enough political pressure, it will. But a $75,000 a year raise, that's almost doubling the money that they're making now, almost doubling the money that they're making now. Almost doubling the money that they're making now.

Speaker 4:

We need to pressure our Congress people to shrink the size of government, to shrink the power of the presidency, to shrink the power of the FBI, the DOJ. They should be cut. Half of them should be gone. Half of them should just go away and never come back.

Speaker 4:

The only legal law enforcement officer is a sheriff, the one elected by the people. He has deputies that he appoints. Right, which is your local sheriff, police officer, but all of these other things are illegitimate. They're not constitutional Law enforcement agencies are designed to be elected by people. So if you don't like what they're doing, you can unelect them. That's the way that it's designed. That's the way that it's designed. That's the way that it's designed.

Speaker 4:

So call your congressperson, shoot them an email. If you look up who your congressperson is, you can contact them and say hey, listen, I heard about the CR bill. I'm politely requesting that you vote no on this. I mean, do it and send them an email. They will email you back. They will do anything for you. I promise you that I had a situation where I had to get my congressperson involved in something and they squashed it like immediately. It was awesome. So let's make sure that we get this bill declined.

Speaker 4:

No, we're not going to tolerate this. We're in a new era of politics. We're shrinking the size of the federal government. This is partially why Trump is doing the Doge thing so that they can call these things out and hold them accountable. Even if they don't get them to stop, you at least have the transparency to see what they're doing. If it wasn't for Elon Musk and known this Elon Musk and X in the free speech you wouldn't know any of this. It would just pass and you wouldn't know, you'd have no clue. Thank you for tuning in.
