The Assad Regime's Collapse: A New Era of Chaos and Global Tensions

Send us a text

Could the fall of a brutal dictator lead to an even more dangerous power vacuum? As the Assad regime collapses, we explore the tumultuous landscape of the Middle East and what this seismic change means for the global political stage. This episode peels back layers of geopolitical complexity, highlighting the rise of a new regime in Syria potentially led by former ISIS members and the looming threats to vulnerable communities such as Christians. With insights from key players like Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, we examine the shifting dynamics between Israel and Syria and the broader implications for international relations, delving into the maneuvers of Hezbollah and the strategies of influential countries like Russia, Turkey, and North Korea.

We also lift the curtain on the hidden forces steering military decisions, scrutinizing the role of defense contractors and the financial motivations for endless conflict. This thought-provoking discussion brings in perspectives from Tulsi Gabbard and former President Trump on the urgency of ending wars and examines how these policies resonate with the volatile situation in Syria. We challenge conventional narratives, including controversial views on historical events like the Holocaust and the labeling of groups as terrorists. By questioning the dominant perceptions of conflict, particularly in Gaza, this episode invites listeners to reconsider deeply ingrained beliefs and to understand the complex web of global politics from a fresh perspective.

Speaker 5:

Hello Patriots, big news out of the Middle East. Syria has fallen. This happened a couple of days ago. There's been a ton of breaking news. I've been trying to get to, this being one of them.

Speaker 5:

This is a big story for the Middle East. Bashar al-Assad, who was a brutal dictator this guy was a complete animal, massacred his people, did not care about anybody but himself, and he used chemical weapons on his citizens particularly I think it was chlorine bombs, and many others. I mean, this guy was a total dumpster fire of a human being. He's not a good person at all. The city, damascus, which is the capital, has been taken over by a. Even you can't say that it's worse, but at the very least it's just as bad. They're called the, I think the Free Syrian Army or something like that, that is now in charge. Their leader was a member of ISIS, I believe has been designated as a terrorist by the United States. This is a problem, but this is a typical problem that happens in the Middle East. No problem is ever good. There's always problems and they never seem to get resolved. But we're going to go over just how bad this is and what it means for the united states and israel, but before we do, make sure you hit that like, share and subscribe button, you go to buymeacoffeecom. Speaker 5:

So what does this actually mean for the people of Syria? Well, for some people in Syria, this is a good thing, although all of them at this moment of time well, not, I can't say all of them. Some of them are smarter than the others, but the one thing about Assad is he was a brutal dictator yes, we've established that, but he didn't go around massacring Christians. He was also pretty decent to Christians. Let them live in peace for the most part, and this new group is not projected to be that good to Christians.

Speaker 5:

Now, what causes, just all of a sudden, rapid descent of Syria? Well, there's a couple of things. Number one I said this on this show. If you go back and you watch the episode from when I was talking about Hezbollah and Syria, from when I was talking about Hezbollah and Syria, and if Hezbollah and their rebels decided to attack Israel, israel could completely wipe them off the map. That's exactly what happened in taking over the Assad regime or allowing the rebels taking down enough of the defenses for the rebels to advance. Was that their intention? I don't know. I think their intention at this point is to protect Israel from these extremists that just want to murder all of them.

Speaker 5:

Now, assad has a very great relationship with Russia, which is where he fled to. He's not there. If he were there, they would kill him. He'd be hanging on a street post somewhere and he would be completely dead. That's not what happened. He flew to Russia. He's hiding out in Russia. Russia normally helps protect Syria from this type of incident from happening, but unfortunately, all of their resources are tied up in Ukraine, so much so that North Korea had to send troops to Russia. As you know, russia is not a member of NATO, however, turkey is. Get that. Turkey is a member of NATO, however, turkey is Get that. Turkey is a member of NATO and Turkey is the one backing these. Quote unquote freedom fighters Anytime you hear freedom fighter, think terrorist when it comes to the Middle East. So here is Benjamin Netanyahu with his statement on the fall of the Assad regime.

Speaker 6:

This is a historic day for the Middle East the collapse of the Assad regime. The tyranny in Damascus, offers great opportunity, but also is fraught with significant dangers. This collapse is a direct result of our forceful action against Hezbollah and Iran, Assad's main supporters. It set off a chain reaction of all those who want to free themselves from this tyranny and its suppression. But it also means we have to take action against possible threats. One of them is the collapse of the separation of forces agreement from 1974 between Israel and Syria. This agreement held for 50 years. Last night it collapsed. The Syrian army abandoned its positions. We gave the Israeli army the order to take over these positions to ensure that no hostile force embeds itself right next to the border of Israel.

Speaker 5:

So what Israel is doing is they're creating a buffer zone between what the border of Israel is and Syria. They're pushing further to create more, creating a buffer zone between what the border of Israel is and Syria. They're pushing further to create more of a buffer zone to help protect its people.

Speaker 6:

This is a temporary defensive position until a suitable arrangement is found. Equally, we send a hand of peace to all those beyond our border in Syria, to the Jews, to the Kurds, to the Christians and to the Muslims who want to live in peace with Israel. We're going to follow events very carefully. If we can establish neighborly relations and a peaceful relations with the new forces emerging in Syria, that's our desire. But if we do not, we'll do whatever it takes to defend the state of Israel and the border of Israel.

Speaker 5:

That's what Israel is going to do. That's what Israel always does. They do what's best for their people and what's best for the region as a whole, as long as it benefits Israel. Israel is extremely, extremely powerful and well-equipped. I made this call. There was a lot of talk that Hezbollah was going to do an offensive towards Israel. I said it. I said if Hezbollah does that, israel is going to use their air force and just wipe the floor with them. And that's exactly what happened. They bombed the hell out of them to the point to where they no longer have control over the city. Make no mistake about it.

Speaker 5:

These people who took over Syria are not friends of Israel. They are friends of Hamas. They are they're Islamic extremists. This is not a good thing. This is not a good thing. This is not some liberation group and now everybody's hey, you're free, come out of your houses. That's what they're doing. They're telling people that they're free to come out of their homes and you're free. And if you're not wearing a hijab, you're beaten to death or you're dragged by a car. If you're a Christian, you're being executed on the spot. These things are happening right now in Syria under this guise of freedom.

Speaker 5:

Now Iran essentially controls the entire region. They control the Hezbollah, they control Hamas. These are all puppets for Iran. Is this group going to be a puppet for Iran? They could be already. I'm not really sure, but I would imagine they are of the same mindset. Iran is a terrorist state. Iran is not. Iran's a legitimate country, sure, but they're an Islamic extremist country that does not think that you or I should live. They don't think that if you were a Jew, you should live. They would kill all of the Jews in the world if they could, in everybody, and they would only live in a Muslim only world. This is a part of Islam that is incredibly extreme and makes no mistakes. There's no consequence between what the Quran says and reality. They're going to do what the Quran says, and part of what the Quran says is to find and kill the Jews wherever you see them, which is exactly what they're going to do. Here's some footage of people celebrating in the street who don't realize it's the beginning of their own demise. Yeah, celebrate, celebrate. The grass is always greener until you realize, until you're on the other side of the street. Now this group is Back by Turkey. We already covered that and you know Donald Trump had come out, he made a statement, and this is very interesting.

Speaker 5:

Donald Trump made a statement back in I think it was a tweet back in 2013, and here it is. Let me pull this up here. Remember all these freedom fighters in syria, freedom fighters in, want to fly planes into our buildings. This is August 28, 2013. This is true Islamic extremists. They want to kill you. That's the reality. There is no qualms. There's no mistake about that at all. They want you dead. They don't think you have a right to breathe on this earth unless you are a Muslim extremist like themselves.

Speaker 5:

Tulsi Gabbard came out. Donald Trump came out and made a statement saying that we should not be involved in this conflict at all. He's going with a very anti-war presidency, which I think is really good, anti-war presidency, which I think is really good. Um, I'm gonna play that uh for you first, and then I'll play the tulsi gabbard clip, but this is the video from donald trump that he put out on twitter and it says I'm hereby demanding that the us do not get involved in the conflict between syria r and Iran. This is not our fight. We should not send one penny to Damascus or any other party involved. We cannot let the warmongers in Washington, in the White House, succeed in starting World War III.

Speaker 7:

Just as importantly, bringing back impoundment will give us a crucial tool with which to obliterate the deep state, drain the swamp and starve the warmongers, these people that want wars all over the place, killing, killing, killing. They love killing and the globalists out of our government. We're going to get the warmongers and the globalists out of our government.

Speaker 5:

Just as importantly, bringing back and this has been a staple of his campaign. So we should not be involved in conflicts around the world, although there is an argument that we should be right. So if this new regime comes up and they develop weapons and then want to send terrorists to the world to kill Americans or Jews, should we stop that? Should we prevent that from ever even happening? That's kind of the debate is should we wait until that does happen and then decide to fight back or prevent it from happening again and then decide to fight back or prevent it from happening again? And you also have to be careful about what you hear on the news, because it's propaganda for the deep state and the warmongers, as Trump and Tulsi Gabbard call them.

Speaker 5:

Now. They are warmongers. There are warmongers in our government that want us at war all the time because it's big business. These people that own these weapons manufacturing companies, these guys that build aircrafts and missiles they want them to be used. A fun fact is I used to work with nuclear weapons when I was in the Marine Corps, and do you know how many nuclear weapons the United States owns? Zero, they're all leased. You don't own them until we launch them. So once one one is launched. Uh, then we pay for it in full. Uh, the rest of the time we're just paying a monthly lease on them and we have about 5500 in our arsenal and, uh, I don't know exactly what the amount is, but that's what I do know.

Speaker 5:

So these companies are making millions of dollars ammo, weapons, humvees, all of the billions. It's a multi-billion dollar business. And how do you increase your business if your business is war With war? If there's no war, you're out of business. So they lobby, they create scenarios where we go to war. They encourage, so they lobby. They create scenarios where we go to war. They encourage, they pay for people's political campaigns that are in a position to vote for war or send money or troops or weapons to Ukraine. It's a completely corrupt system. Here's Tulsi Gabbard.

Speaker 4:

I want to address the issue that's in the headlines right now. I stand in full support and wholeheartedly agree with the statements that President Trump has made over these last few days with regards to the developments in Syria. My own views and experiences have been shaped by my multiple deployments and seeing firsthand the cost of war and the threat of Islamist terrorism. It's one of the many reasons why I appreciate President Trump's leadership and his election, where he is fully committed, as he has said over and over, to bringing about an end to wars, demonstrating peace through strength and putting the national security interests and the safety, security and freedom of the American people first and foremost.

Speaker 5:

And that's a great policy. That really and truly is a great policy. This is a good thing for the United States, because it makes Russia look incredibly weak, and it makes Russia. It hurts Russia, because this is Russia's allies. Here's another video of the locals in Syria the ones who align with the belief system, who are allowed to survive in Syria celebrating the victory of the freedom fighters. Thank you. So look how happy they look.

Speaker 5:

This is something you see in a lot of places, a lot of dictatorships, like North Korea. If you ever look at the North Koreans and how they freak out every time Kim Jong-un walks around, what they're doing is self-preservation. Obviously, these people, now, this new army, is in control of Damascus, so they're coming. Oh, thank you, thank you. Yeah, we love you. You're the best. Please don't kill us because you have the power to do that with impunity. Now, that could be part of it, or they could truly be happy, but when your life is on the line, you will don't ever forget how good of an actor you can become.

Speaker 5:

People are bringing them food. Oh yeah, thank you for coming people are bringing them food.

Speaker 5:

Oh yeah, thank you for coming this is the same thing they did to the us troops when we went into iraq and afghanistan. They were coming out with food. They were inviting troops in um to their family uh dinners, which was a incredible honor. If you ever got one of those invites and um, it's, it's, it's kind of practice, but you know, assad was a. He was just human garbage. As I stated before um, he's a holocaust denier. He completely hates Jews. Uh, wants them all dead. Here's a video of him talking about how the Holocaust didn't happen. There is no evidence that 6 million Jews were killed in the Holocaust. Perhaps there were Holocausts, nobody but not denies this. True, there were concentration camps, but what shows you that this is a politicized issue? And is not a humanitarian issue and is not real.

Speaker 5:

This is common amongst in Islam, like Islamic extremists. It's extremely common. There is a um, there is a group. There's a common consensus to hate the Jews in extreme Islam. Now this is the new leader of this group. He did an interview. I'm not sure when this area interview was done, but this is the leader. It's abu uh muhammad al-jaloni. Um, he is the new leader. It looks like he's going to be the new asad or the new dictator or whatever president or whatever of um syria people listening to this are going to wonder why they should believe you.

Speaker 9:

You are still a specially designated global terrorist by the United States with a $10 million bounty on your head. Your group is a prescribed terrorist organization by the United States, by the UN, by the EU and others.

Speaker 10:

I say to people don't judge by words, but by actions. I believe the reality speaks for itself. These classifications are primarily political and, at the same time, wrong. I define a terrorist as someone who intentionally kills civilians, harms innocents or displaces people. If we're being honest, many of the wars waged by major powers in Arab, muslim and even non-Muslim countries have involved the deliberate killing of thousands, the destruction of homes and the displacement of millions. Even the regime itself is guilty of such actions, but the US he's mainly talking about Israel.

Speaker 5:

He's, you know, a terrorist kills innocent civilian and displaces people, and that's the. That's the argument that they make against israel all the time, which is just preposterous. I'm sorry, I know I see you guys in the comments. I know of you. I know some of you, a lot of you, not a lot of you, but some of my listeners do feel that there is a genocide going on in Gaza. You're wrong. You're completely wrong. One thing is it's funny the Palestinians they're always running out of food, but they never run out of rockets. How does that make any sense whatsoever? How could you run out of food but not rockets? You have all this money. Israel's giving you money, israel's providing food, israel's warning you before they attack. It's preposterous. There's nobody on earth who protects innocent life of the enemy more than israel.

Speaker 9:

They do it more than we do as the united states and others would say is that you were parts of groups that did exactly that.

Speaker 10:

Personally, I have not done these things. The situation must be understood in its historical context. There was a massive war in Iraq that deeply stirred people's emotions, prompting many to go there. The circumstances of that war led people to various places, and my path led me to one of those locations. Given my level of awareness and my young age at the time, my actions evolved to where I am today. I didn't go to Iraq with those intentions. I went to defend the Iraqi people. When I returned to Syria, I didn't want to bring what happened in Iraq into Syria. That's why there were disagreements between us and ISIS.

Speaker 9:

People would be wondering why you've agreed to speak with us.

Speaker 10:

What is happening in Syria is significant for the entire world. This event has positive repercussions globally because, under the regime's rule, syria became a source of concern and trouble for everyone.

Speaker 5:

Nobody's disagreeing with you there. The question is will you be better, will you be a better option for the world? And my answer to that is no. At least with Assad, you had some stability. He was bombing his own people, chemical weapons his own people. I think it was back in the early 2000, 2009, eight, I think, 2006. Yeah, around that time between 2007, 2009, let's just call it 2008. He was chemically bombing his own people. This is, this is not a good person. This is not a person that should be the leader of a nation.

Speaker 11:

I agree, but this person uh, jolani, a jabroni should not be either who is muhammad al-jolani, the syrian rebel who ended more than 50 years of assad family rule in syria. After 13 years of civil war and strife, bashar al-assad's grip on the country evaporated within a matter of days, with the president fleeing to Moscow following a lightning advance by the rebels At their head. Ahmed al-Shar'a, better known by his non-duguerre, Mohamed al-Jolani, leader of a group known as HTS. It's the successor to the Nusra Front, an affiliate of Al-Qaeda, and is still labeled a foreign terrorist organization by the US and others. He has suggested he's a moderating force and, to a certain degree, has dissociated himself from his past. The roots of his group's rebrand to HDS date back to 2017.

Speaker 11:

Little is known of the 42-year-old's journey to become an Islamist fighter, and he's so far revealed little about himself. Yet al-Jalani now finds himself at the center of Syrian politics about himself. Yet al-Jalani now finds himself at the center of Syrian politics, having commanded forces which seized control of Damascus, Aleppo, Homs and Hama. Al-jalani is believed to command about 15,000 fighters, with fighters from the Turkey-backed Umbrella Group known as the National Liberation Front also joining the HDS. But Syria remains a deeply divided country with multiple armed factions. Following the overthrow of assad, the world is watching to see whether these disparate groups can come together or if the power vacuum smells more trouble to come power vacuums always cause more trouble to come.

Speaker 5:

There's never been a power vacuum that was good in the history of ever. It's never happened. Here is a video from Al.

Speaker 1:

Jazeera, he's emerged as the man leading the charge of fighters in Syria. But little is known about Abu Muhammad Al-Julani, who's no?

Speaker 1:

stranger to armed opposition, the leader of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham became prominent in 2016 when he announced the rebranding of his armed group, jabhat al-Nusra, and its split from Al-Qaeda. His goal To create what he said was an anti-regime front in Syria. Born in Damascus in 1982, as Ahmed al-Shar'a, joulani later took on a pseudonym, one he says referenced his family history of expulsion from the now-occupied Golan Heights after the creation of Israel In 2003, after the US invasion of Iraq, joulani left Syria, joining Al-Qaeda, which led to his subsequent arrest, and in 2011, he returned to Syria as the founder of Al-Nusra to take part in the revolt against President Bashar al-Assad and, most recently, he's been trying to present a more moderate view of a revolution to take back Syria from decades of Assad's brutal rule.

Speaker 12:

The revolutionaries began entering the city of Hama to sanitize up the wound that has been left in Syria for 40 years. I ask God Almighty that it be a conquest in which there is no revenge.

Speaker 1:

The sudden offensive by opposition fighters in Syria caught much of the world by surprise, and Joulani is now trying to send a message to allies of the Syrian government that this time things are different.

Speaker 12:

In the same way Iraq and Prime Minister Mohammed Shiaa al-Sudani distanced his country lately from the war between Iran and the region. We urge him to distance Iraq from entering the new furnace of what's happening in Syria.

Speaker 1:

With Damascus now under control of opposition fighters and after more than a decade of conflict, the world will be looking to Abu Muhammad al-Julani to see what type of transition he brings to Syria. Hamda Salhout Al Jazeera.

Speaker 5:

We will see where this takes us. It's going to be interesting, we'll see. We've seen this before. Saddam Hussein kind of came to power in a similar way and we'll see how he handles it, which direction he's going to go. We'll keep this story covered. Israel is still fighting. They're winning. The end is going to be that Israel is going to win. One of the main factors factors again was Hezbollah attacked Israel and Israel unleashed their air force completely just demolishing parts of Syria. So the Ukrainian war rages on. Donald Trump did meet in Paris with Zelensky and it looks like we're making progress to peace there. We do need to get back to a peaceful world. Hopefully Donald Trump will keep up on all of his campaign promises. Thank you very much for tuning in. Don't forget to hit that like, share and subscribe button and we will see you next time.
